It is important that you get appropriate guidance and support when starting in the Electrical Trade and that the qualifications you undertake allow you to progress fully within this exciting industry.

We train both online through our own training portal and in our practical workshop with tasks completed directly with a qualified and experienced assessor, not in a big class.

 

You can discuss and learn techniques fully along with why Electricians do things in particular ways not just to complete the qualification. Techniques and theory behind how installations work and why we install in particular ways to ensure safety and work is completed to the required standards.

 

It is important to take time to both learn and understand the knowledge elements required so that you can work more confidently within the Electrical trade to gain the experience to progress.

 

Remember the Electrical Trade is not just Domestic Installations but covers all aspects of Electrical Supply and its use in both Industry Commercial and Domestic type installations.

 

For Adults, this is important to understand as you are more useful in the trade when you can both understand and apply that knowledge.

 

The pay and time to complete the job to a higher standard is also much greater.  This is why our training portal allows you to spend time understanding and applying the knowledge in preparation for the exams and assessments with many practice questions to help you check your progress monitored by our team of professionals.

This also allows our assessors to spend more time with you in the practical assessments and training all on a One to One not in a large group so that you gain the most knowledge and experience to work in the Electrical Industry

 

The Level 2 Diploma is suitable for a complete beginner or those already in the industry who lack the essential qualifications to progress within the Electrical Trade.

All practical is completed on a 1:1 basis with a qualified assessor to get the best experience and understanding of installation practice at our Derby Centre.

Principles of Electrical Science

Installation of Wiring Systems and Enclosures

Understand how to communicate with others in the building services and engineering

How Long will it take?

This depends on how much time you allocate to the course but realistically can be completed in 4 to 6 months to ensure you understand the material and can apply the practical skills required. If it takes you longer or shorter we accommodate every learning style and time period, what is important is that you can understand and apply that knowledge.

This course is available to study through our online training portal for the electrical knowledge elements and practice exam questions.

All practical is completed on a 1:1 basis with a qualified assessor to get the best experience and understanding of installation practice very important with level 3 because you will be learning about the application of inspection and testing and fault finding.  We also test the entire installation including Live Testing not done in many centres..

How Long Will It Take?

This will depend on how much time you can allocate to the course but most people can complete in around 6 to 8 months but we are flexible on times to ensure you understand the requirements and prepare yourself for working in the Electrical Industry

What is more important is understanding and being able to apply and use the knowledge that you learn and applying that knowledge in the Applications required.

 

Remember the Electrical trade is growing fast with new applications and exciting opportunities developing within the Trade requirements, particularly with AI and changes of heating requirements, Electric Vehicle charging in all aspects of Commercial Industrial and Domestic applications.
